 The way to European standards” – International conference in Kyiv devoted to training of judges and prosecutors

The conference organised by the Council of Europe and the European Union within the Joint Programme on “Transparency and Efficiency of the Judicial System of Ukraine will focus on the place and role of specialised training institutions in the creation of a professional corps of judges and prosecutors, European standards of Judicial and
Prosecution training institutions, the modern models of training of judges and prosecutors, the development of initial training programmes for judges and prosecutors, the selection and preparation of the lecturing staff as well as on European co-operation in the training of judges and prosecutors. Members of the Judiciary, prosecutors, members of Parliament as well as experts from different Council of Europe member States (Belgium, France, Georgia, Moldova, Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands) will participate in the conference. Representatives from both the Consultative Council of European Judges and the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors will attend the conference. The Ministry of Justice, the Ukrainian Centre for Common Ground and the Delegation of the European Union will also be represented.
